Let us do the searching"

The Circle of Professional Nannies (CPN) is committed to the safety of children, it is at the forefront of everything we do. That is why when you choose a CPN nanny you can relax in the knowledge that your child is in safe hands.

After working as a nanny for many years, Susie Matthews understands the concerns of parents returning to work or employing a new nanny and so CPN stands by the ethos that ‘the safety and happiness of each child must always come first, no matter what’.

CPN have introduced photo ID cards for nannies. Be sure to ask to see these cards when interviewing nannies.

Every CPN nanny must pass the following strict criteria:

Has been vetted by the Criminal Record Bureau, Holds a Btec, NNEB, NVQ3 or similar child care qualification, or has extensive childcare experience, holds a current First Aid certificate, has supplied CPN with three professional references and one character reference and has been interviewed by CPN

CPN nannies come in many forms:

Sole Charge Nannies who care for children of all ages while the parents are not at home or at home but unable to care for the children, eg. working from home.

Nanny/Housekeepers who care for the children and also take on responsibilities within the home, e.g. light housework, cooking and shopping.

Nanny/P.A’s who care for the children and assist parents in tasks such as; simple administration, for parents working from home, time management for the whole family, holiday bookings, pet care, and much more.

Mothers Helps very rarely have sole charge of the children but are employed to assist busy parents. Mothers Helps may be less experienced and less qualified than Nannies.

Maternity Nannies who specialise in the care of newborn and very young babies. Maternity Nannies are employed for no more than the first three months of the baby’s life.

Nannyshare Nannies who are employed by two or more families as a private arrangement. This can be a less expensive option for parents.

*Please note that when considering Nanny/Housekeepers and Nanny/P.A’s, time management must be taken into account and priority must be given to childcare.

Whether you are seeking a full time, part time, live-in, daily, temporary or permanent nanny, our aim is to find the right nanny for your family.

If you already employ a nanny, you may wish to offer her/him membership of CPN. Alternatively, if you are looking to employ a nanny, you may wish to offer CPN membership as part of your employment package. For just £8 per month your nanny will receive the following:

  • Photo ID card containing: Photo, name, date of birth, expiry date, membership number and the list of criteria achieved.
